「坂を上ったところにある」と言いたかったのですが、「坂」の表現に迷いました。早速、「坂道、上り坂、下り坂」について調べました。
■ go up – – 上る、登る
■ go down – – 下る
■ hill – – （名詞）坂、坂道、小山、丘坂
■ go uphill- – 坂を上る
■ go downhill- – 坂を下る
*「uphill」は、副詞で「上り坂へ、坂の上へ」という意味です。
*「downhill」は。副詞で「下りに、下って、ふもとのほうへ」という意味です。
彼の競走用自転車は坂の途中で壊れた。
His racing cycle broke down on a hill.
そのバスは坂道を下る。
The bus will go down a hill.
ハイカーのグループはその坂を上った。
The group of hikers went up that hill.
生徒たちは坂を上り下りした。
