「フィリピンにはその様な慣習が無い」と言いたかったのですが、「慣習」の表現がわかりませんでした。個人の習慣は「habit」をよく使います。早速、「慣習」について調べました。

年賀状は日本の慣習の一つです。

「custom」と「convention」の違いですが、「custom」は個人単位というよりも、国民、部族、村民、会社などの大きな単位ものに使われ、「convention」は伝統的に行われているような慣例で社会や芸術などの伝統に用いられことが多いです。
