「今日は、家の整理整頓をしないと」って言いたかったのですが、うまく表現できませんでした。「整理整頓」の表現を早速調べました。
■ tidy – – （形容詞）[部屋など] きちんとした、こぎれいな
■ tidy – – （他動詞）きちんとする。片づける。整頓する。
■ order – – （不可算名詞）整理、整頓、整列
私たちの教室は整頓されていた。
Our classroom was kept tidy.
私は整理整頓をした。
I kept things tidy and in order.
新入社員は机の整理整頓が出来ていない。
The freshman employees cannot keep their desks tidy and in order.
エマは、身の回りのものをきちんと整理整頓しなけりゃだめだ。
Emma has to keep your things in order.
