「最近、体力が衰えてきた」と言う時に、「体力」の表現に迷いました。早速、「体力」「筋力」について調べました。
■ strength – – （名詞）強さ、力、体力
■ power – – （名詞）力、能力、体力、知力
■ physical power – – （名詞）体力
■ muscular strength / muscle strength / the strength of the muscles – – （名詞）筋力、腕力
*「muscular」は、「筋肉の」という意味です。
私は体力の限界に来た。
I’ve reached the limits of my strength.
私は体力の衰えを感じている。
I feel my strength declining.
*「declining」は、「衰える」という意味です。
エイデンは体力が付いてきた。
Aiden has grown in strength.
私の体力は衰えてきた。
My powers are failing.
私の体力が衰えた。
My physical power has decayed.
*「decay」は、「衰える、衰退する」という意味です。
彼の筋肉は運動不足により弱くなった。
His muscular strength has weakened from lack of exercise.
*「weaken」は、「弱くする、弱める」という意味です。
あなたは筋力を強化しなければならない。
You have to increase muscle strength.
