「約束の時間に間に合わないかなぁ。」と言いたかったのですが、表現がわかりませんでしたので、「I wonder I will be late for the appointment.」と言いました。早速、「間に合う」「間に合わない」の表現を調べました。
■ be in time – – 間に合う
あなたは急げば間に合うだろう。
If you hurry up, you will be in time.
急げば学校に間に合うよ。
Hurry up, and you’ll be in time for school.
役員会議に間に合うように帰ります
I shall be back in time for the executive meeting.
リリアンは会議に間に合った。
