動詞の「過去形と現在形」を並べることで「今も昔も」「以前も今も」というニュアンスを表現できます。副詞「still」が一緒に使われることが多いです。

「過去形」と「現在形」の順番は、逆の場合もあるようです。

あなたは今も昔もとても可愛い。
You are and were very pretty.


「Be動詞」以外の動詞も同じようなニュアンスを表現できます。

*「lives」の代わりに「does」が使われています。


動詞の「過去形」と「未来形」を並べることで「昔もこれからも」「以前もこれからも」というニュアンスを表現できます。
