「not much」は日常でも頻繁に使いますが、「not so much」「not too much」はあまり使いません。今回は、この３つの表現のニュアンスの違いについて調べました。
■not much – – あまり多くない、あまり大きくない、たいしてない
■not so much – – それほど多くない、それほど大きくない、それほどでもない
■not too much – – 多すぎない、大きすぎない
*数えられるものに対しては「much」を「many」に置き換えます。
あまり時間がない。
There is not much time.
私は英語はたいして上手くない。
I am not much good at English.
夫の収入はあまり多くない。
My husband’s income is not much.
A : このTシャツの在庫はまだありますか？
