「裁判で判決が覆された」と言いたかったのですが、「覆す」の表現がわかりませんでした。「change」でも良いのかもしれませんが、少しニュアンスが違う様に思います。早速、「 覆す（くつがえす） 」について調べました。
「覆す」とは、今まで正しいとされていた見解や決定が変えられるという意味です。
■ overturn – – （他動詞）くつがえす、否決する、ひっくり返す、転覆させる、（自動詞）転覆する、（名詞）転覆、打倒、崩壊
米国議会の上院はこの予算案を覆した。
The upper house of the United States Congress overturned this budget.
連邦裁判所は原審を覆した。
The Federal Court overturned the original verdict.
*「original verdict」は、「原審、原判決」という意味です。
ワシントン州最高裁判所は原判決を覆した。
The Washington State Supreme Court overturned the original decision.
*「original decision」は、「原判決」という意味です。
その科学者が従来の法則を覆した。
The scientist overturned the conventional law.
*「conventional」は、「従来の、 今までの、型にはまった」という意味です。
強い風が吹いたので、食卓の上の花瓶がひっくり返った。

■ reverse – – （他動詞）逆にする、反対にする、裏返す、（自動詞）逆になる、逆戻りする、逆行する
私たちは、すでに決めていた方針を覆した。
We reversed the already-decided policy.
一旦、ボスが決めたことを覆すことはできない。
Once the boss’s decision has been made, it cannot be reversed.
もうすぐ、この厳しい環境が逆転するだろう。
This strict environment will reverse soon.
