フェイスブックでは「共通の友達」の英語表現として「common」を使わずに「Mutual Friends」と表記されています。早速、「共通の」「mutual」について調べました。

*「mutual love」は、「相思相愛、両想い」という意味です。
それが我々の共通の目的になるでしょう。
That will be to our mutual aim.
*「aim」は、「目的、志、計画」という意味です。
私と彼女は合意の上で離婚した。
She and I got divorced with mutual consent.
*「consent」は「同意、承諾、一致」という意味です。
